Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following a stabbing in Lenton overnight.
Nottinghamshire Police were informed at around 5.45 am this morning by East Midlands Ambulance Service of a man being stabbed at Cobden Street.
The man was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment to his arm. His injuries aren’t believed to be life-altering.
Detective Sergeant Ian Holmes is leading the investigation. He said: “Officers remain at the scene this morning and can reassure local residents that officers are working hard to find out the circumstances.
“Officers will remain in the area carrying out extra patrols. We do believe the suspect is known to the victim and there is no danger to the wider community.
“It was reported that a man was stabbed in the arm at a house party following an argument.
“We are particularly interested to speak to a man in connection with an incident. It was reported he walked off towards Ilkeston Road.
“We are also keen to speak to anyone who attended that party, so if you have any information please get in touch by ringing 101, quoting incident number 162 of 20 June 2020.”
