Police have arrested a man on suspicion of actual bodily harm following a report of an assault in The Meadows.
Officers were called to the Meadows Way area at around 3.15 pm yesterday (Wednesday 1 April 2020).
A man suffered minor injuries to his head and hand after he was hit with a blunt object.
He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment.
A 50-year-old man was arrested this morning in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
