Police are investigating after a man was taken to hospital having suffered stab wounds to his shoulder, leg and hand.
The 24-year-old’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering following the incident in Brindley Road, Bilborough, at around 11.10pm yesterday.
Detective Sergeant Andy Buxton said: “Witnesses saw a man lean into a parked car and use a stabbing motion and run off toward Birchover Recreation Ground together with two other men.
“They are described as two black men wearing dark clothing and a white man wearing a white t-shirt and believed to be in his mid-twenties.
“It appears that those involved are known to each other and we will be working with the victim to establish why this might have happened to him.
“We are continuing our extensive enquiries today which include checking through CCTV and carrying out door-to-door enquiries.
“We are appealing for information and encourage anyone who knows anything or who has any information that could help, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
“Weapons and violence are treated extremely seriously in Nottinghamshire and we are working with the local neighbourhood policing and Reacher teams who will be increasing patrols in the area and speaking with residents about any concerns.
“We continue our proactive work in tackling knife crime, which is a national issue, by raising awareness of the dangers and working with our partners in a bid to prevent people from becoming involved in knife crime in the first place.”
