Man left with broken legs after being ‘deliberately run over’ in Nottingham

A woman has been arrested after man’s legs were broken when he was deliberately run over in a crash.

Police were called to Bradfield Road in Broxtowe at around 12.50am this morning after a man was seriously injured in the incident.

Officers quickly arrived at the scene and an investigation was launched to establish the circumstances.

It was later revealed that the victim’s legs were broken as a result of the crash and that the driver had fled the scene.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Sergeant Adam Taylor, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a serious incident where a man has been left with potentially life-altering injuries.

“Officers have been working hard to understand what happened and we are pleased to have made an arrest as part of our investigation.

“The incident was a completely reckless and mindless attack on the victim and we will be investigating this thoroughly.

“I urge anyone who may have any information or footage of what happened to get in touch as soon as possible.”
