A suspect has appeared in court after a man was threatened with a knife and assaulted.
Officers were called to Eskdale Drive, Chilwell, at around 11.45am on Wednesday (24 August 2022) following reports of a disturbance.
The victim was reported to have been punched repeatedly during the incident and was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre with injuries which are not currently believed to be life threatening.
A suspect was arrested by officers who carried out house-to-house enquiries nearby.
A 40-year-old man from Chilwell appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 25 August charged with actual bodily harm, harassment with violence and threats with an offensive weapon in a private place.
PC Joshua Dowdy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a violent attack and I am pleased we have now brought charges against this suspect.
“This kind of violence is utterly unacceptable and will always lead to a very firm police response.”
