A man suffered serious injuries after his car left the road and hit a tree near Colston Bassett last night.
Police were called to Harby Lane shortly before 12.45am on Monday and found a 38-year-old man trapped inside the vehicle with serious leg injuries
He was freed from the vehicle by firefighters and taken by ambulance to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. He remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 31 of 20 July.
