Man seriously injured after ‘unprovoked attack’ in Nottingham city centre

Police investigating a serious assault have released images of a group they would like to speak to.

The victim, a 29-year-old man, was subjected to an unprovoked attack in Goose Gate,

Hockley, in the early hours of Thursday 1 September, when he was punched and left with a serious facial injury.

Detectives believe the young men pictured in these CCTV images may be able to assist with their investigation and have asked for them to come forward.

Detective Constable Grace Jolly, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty and unprovoked attack that left the victim with a fracture to his face.

“We have carried out extensive investigations into what happened and are now making a public appeal to identify five young men who were seen in the area at the time of the assault.

“We believe they may have vital information that my assist with our investigation and I urge them to come forward.”

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call 101 quoting incident 140 of 2 September 2022.
