Detectives investigating a serious assault in Nottingham which left a man with facial fractures and a bleed on the brain are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Officers received a report the injured man, who is in his 40s, was walking along University Boulevard in Nottingham trying to stop traffic at around 7.30 pm on Monday (17 June 2024).
It’s currently believed the man may have been attacked in an alleyway off Jesse Boot Avenue.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining fractures to his skull, eye socket and cheek and a bleed on the brain. His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
Detective Sergeant Elina Falcon, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are continuing with our lines of inquiry, including checking CCTV footage, to understand the circumstances around this incident, why the man was targeted, and who was responsible for this attack.
