A suspect has been arrested after a man suffered a serious injury to his hand.
Police were called to Maryland Court, Stapleford, shortly after 2pm on Tuesday afternoon following reports of an assault.
The victim, a man in his twenties, was taken to hospital after receiving a knife wound to one of his hands.
A 19-year-old man was arrested this morning (Wednesday) on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Jo Eaton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a serious incident that left a young man with a significant injury to his hand. We are continuing to carry out extensive house to house enquiries today as we work to understand what has happened and have since arrested a suspect.
“As part of our investigation we would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard a disturbance at around 2pm on Tuesday in the Maryland Court and Radburn Court areas.
