Detectives investigating a stabbing at a restaurant have now charged a man.
Officers were called to Outram Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, shortly before 11pm on Saturday (29 October) following a report of a disturbance between two groups.
One man remains in hospital having suffered a single stab wound to the abdomen.
A 20-year-old man from Sutton-in-Ashfield has now been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article and appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday (1 November).
He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 6 December 2022.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old girl also arrested in connection with the incident has been released on conditional bail.
Detective Sergeant Matt Scott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have carried out a detailed investigation over the last few days to understand exactly what happened during this incident and I am pleased that a suspect has been charged.
“Our investigation is still ongoing so I would ask anyone who may have information or dash cam footage that could assist us to please come forward if they have not already done so.”
