A Nottinghamshire road was closed overnight after a man suffered serious injuries after a car collided with a tree.
Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called to the A616 at Kneesall near Newark at around 4.15pm yesterday (Wednesday 9 December).
The driver was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre with suspected life-altering injuries.
Detective Sergeant Mark Baker, from the serious collision investigation unit, said: “We closed the road until around 2am this morning to allow for our thorough enquiries to take place.”We are now keen to hear fro
m anyone who may have seen a blue Ford Focus car driving in the area or from anyone who may have dashcam footage.”The investigation continues and our thoughts are with the man and his family at this time.”
