Man suffers life-threatening injuries in attack in Nottingham city centre

At around 6.50pm last night (5 December) a 24-year-old-man sustained critical injuries after being assaulted at the Sussex Street Skate Park walkway underneath the tram tracks.

The attack followed an altercation with a group of around five to ten people who then ran from the scene in the direction of High Pavement and Cliff Road.

The incident resulted in him sustaining a life-threatening head injury. Paramedics attended the scene and the victim was taken to hospital where he remains.

A police presence remains at the scene this morning (6 December) as officers continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident.
