A man is due in court charged in connection with a string of reported shop thefts on the same street.
Items including gift sets and cosmetics were stolen from a number of shops in Southchurch Drive in Clifton between 3 and 15 December 2021.
Following enquiries police arrested man yesterday in Clifton connection with the alleged offences.
Aaron Kelly, aged 32, of no fixed address, is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today charged with 11 thefts.
He is also facing two charges of fraud by false representation and a further charge of using threatening behaviour.
Sergeant James Rimmington, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Incidents like these not only harm businesses financially, but they can also be incredibly distressing for staff within stores.
“We continue to treat shop theft seriously and our proactive work to combat this issue is ongoing including targeted operations in hot-spot areas, increased patrols and working closely with businesses and local authorities to reduce retail crime.
“We are continuing to support retailers and provide crime prevention advice and I’d like to reassure people that we will not tolerate this type of offending and will always take robust action.”
