Mansfield Road Nottingham reopens after car and pedestrian involved in collision

The road reopened this morning.

‘Emergency services have ended the contraflow and reopened Mansfield Road outbound at the junction with Forest Road east lane 2 of 2. Mansfield Road inbound reopened, lane 2 of 2 of and traffic in the area is easing.’

Police said:

‘Emergency services were called to a report of a collision involving a car and a woman pedestrian in Mansfield Road, Nottingham, just before 6am today.

‘The pedestrian was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not currently believed to be serious.

‘Two lanes remains closed while the incident is being dealt with but two lanes remain open.

 

Sergeant Pete Shaw, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers remain at the scene of the collision and our enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

 

“We are asking anyone who saw what happened or any drivers who may have captured dash cam footage of the incident to please get in contact with us. If you have any information which could help us please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 61 of 8 April 2021, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
