Roy Keane announced earlier this week that he was also leaving the club.

Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Martin O’Neill after less than six months in the role.

The Northern Irishman, who won two European Cups with Forest as a player, was appointed manager at the City Ground in January.

Forest were 4 points adrift of the Championship play-offs when O’Neill, 67, was appointed  but he was unable to achieve a top-six finish.

Forest now look for their 12th permanent manager in 8 years.
