Motorcylist injured in Clifton collision – driver failed to stop

Police are investigating a report of a serious collision involving a car and a motorbike in Clifton.

Officers were called to the incident in Stirling Grove shortly after 5pm today (Tuesday 9 June 2020).

A man aged in his 30s has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.

The driver of the car failed to stop following the collision.

The road was closed but later re-opened as officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our investigation is still in its early stages and I’m appealing to anyone who was travelling along Stirling Grove at the relevant time and witnessed the collision, which involved a dark-coloured car, to please come forward.

“I am also keen to hear from any motorists who may have captured the collision on dashcam to please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 493 of 9 June 2020.”
