Muralists Mint + Mabel have been designing and hand-painting murals in primary schools across Nottingham.
The artistic duo, Hattie and Erin, have left their mark on schools by creating engaging and creative murals that transform classrooms, libraries, and hallways. These murals enhance the first impression for visitors and are the first thing staff see as they arrive in the morning.
Mint + Mabel commented: “Hattie attended Nottingham Trent University, and Erin has family here, so we are really proud to be making a difference in local schools. We hope our artwork inspires creativity among the children and reflects the care and support provided at these schools. It can also serve as an important indicator to prospective parents that the school invests in the classroom environment and, therefore, the wellbeing of the children.”
Murals can create a positive and welcoming atmosphere, reducing stress and anxiety among students and staff. The presence of art can also promote relaxation and creativity, which are vital for effective learning and engagement.
