A second man has been arrested after a man was attacked in Nottingham city centre street yesterday afternoon (Monday 12 October).
Detectives have been working through the night following the incident in Milton Street at around 1.15pm leading to the second arrest of a 19-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
A 17-year-old male also remains in custody after police arrested him within minutes of the incident.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish how many people may have been involved in the incident and detectives continue to urge witnesses to come forward.
Milton Street has since reopened between Shakespeare Street and Lower Parliament Street, after it was closed while officers dealt with the incident.
Superintendent Matt Healey, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our officers have been working around the clock in a bid to establish anyone who could connected to this tragic incident.
“Our enquiries continue today and we have been making great progress on the investigation with a substantial amount of evidence and witness accounts to work with.
“We are still appealing to anyone who might have seen anything suspicious or who might have any information that could help to get in touch with us.
“Our thoughts remain with the loved ones of the young man who died at the scene.”
