Netflix After Life benches placed in Nottingham

There’s a new bench in Highfields Park says University of Nottingham on its Facebook page.

The post reads: If you’re a fan of Ricky Gervais’ show After Life, you’ll know that there’s a very important bench where Tony sits and talks through his feelings and grief with his friend Anne.

The CALMzone and Netflix have worked together to put benches in parks across the country – inscribed with “Hope is everything” to help people have these important conversations and get the support they may need.

Nottingham has two of these benches – one in the Arboretum and one next to the university in Highfields Park.

Nottingham City Council said:

‘We are over the moon to announce that we have been given two of the 25 benches donated by Netflix across the country marking the launch of Ricky Gervais’ After Life season 3.

‘They have been commissioned alongside suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
‘The two benches are now installed in The Arboretum and Highfields Park. Both inscribed with the quote from the series “Hope is Everything” alongside a QR code offering resources such as help, advice and information to anyone who is struggling or in crisis.’272127259 10159886779039675 5972159900241455076 n
