New Co-op opens in Cropwell Bishop

Co-op store in Cropwell Bishop is opened by children from Cropwell Bishop Primary School and, Cropwell Bishop Heritage Committee.

The new Co-op store has opened in Cropwell Bishop.

The store is a £650,000 investment by the retailer on the site of the former Wheatsheaf pub car park.

15 staff will transfer from the former store.

It is the first store to open in the county in 2019 and it also offers Post Office services.

The new store opened on Saturday, January 5.

Alastair Cook, area manager for Co-op, said: “We have had a great response, and are delighted to have the opportunity to make such a significant investment in Cropwell Bishop.

“The Co-op is committed to getting closer to the needs of its members and customers, what they want, need and care about. Our move to a new purpose build store is designed to better serve the needs of our local community.

“We also want customers to know that they can become a co-owner and member of their Co-op. And, that we are also giving back to the community.
