After much anticipation, Marks & Spencer has today opened its show-stopping new M&S Foodhall in Newark. The M&S Newark team gathered at the store entrance with Store Manager, Wes Kachela who was joined by arguably the biggest M&S icon of them all, Percy Pig, to officially cut the ribbon and declare the store open.
As part of the opening day celebrations, the first 200 customers to the new store were offered M&S Golden Tickets, giving them the chance to win up to £200 in M&S vouchers. (You can buy a lot of Easter eggs with £200!)
Located at The Maltings Retail Park, the new, neon-lit M&S Newark Foodhall marks a big investment for M&S in the local area and is designed with customers and local families at its heart, helping to make shopping convenient, inspirational and of course great value – whether it’s ‘just popping in for tonight’s dinner’ or ‘doing the big weekly family shop.’
Inside the brand-new 13,000 sqft Foodhall, customer will find a fresh market feel, with produce displays brimming with great quality, fresh fruit and vegetables from M&S Select Farms, a show-stopping bakery, a sensational selection of cheeses, including locally sourced favourites like Cropwell Bishop Stilton, and a dedicated M&S Wine Shop, featuring an award-winning selection including iconic styles in the M&S ‘Classics’ range and new varieties to discover from unexpected locations in the ‘Found’ range.
Plus, the new M&S Foodhall will offer added convenience with 100 free car parking spaces right outside the store, a mobile “Scan & Shop” payment option for customer via the M&S app which lets M&S Sparks customer skip the queues altogether, and digital screens to make it easier and quicker than ever to Click & Collect orders from M&S.com.
