New Rushcliffe health and wellbeing hub website launched

Rushcliffe residents are being reminded to check out www.rushcliffehealth.org – a health and wellbeing hub offering local information, events, and support, all in one place, for an even healthier lifestyle.

The website is a one-stop shop for the latest social prescribing events, updates from your local GP practice, blogs from local health leaders, and a chance to shape local services and have your say on the future of health locally.

Developed with residents and patients in mind, you can locate all the information on local health support in a matter of seconds.

There are great tools across the site, including a friendship calendar to locate new activities and meet new friends, and a handy self-help calendar to help you focus on a new health category each month.

It’s the perfect place to access The Big Green Book too, a wonderful directory of great health walks and social activities, updated every three months with the latest events that make a significant impact on your mental and physical health.

There’s also a chance to find out about health screening services, take part in the Rushcliffe Autumn Wellbeing Challenge, and access links for more information on all NHS services.

Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Leisure & Wellbeing, ICT & Member Development Cllr Jonathan Wheeler added: “This is a really useful website that I would recommend to all residents so they can keep up to date on the latest on health and wellbeing in our local communities.

“It’s a completely free tool and there are so many ways you can connect, use the information or find out more on events that can really boost your mental and physical health.”

Rushcliffe Patient Participation Groups Chair, Paul Midgley, said:
“The site is your one-stop shop for all the information you need to access local health services and a host of brilliant events and groups that can make a positive impact on your health.

“Patients benefit hugely from being able to check the wide range of updates, whether the latest social prescribing events, updates at your GP surgery, tools you can use at home to make healthy changes, or a chance to provide feedback on NHS services.”
