New serviced apartments to launch in Nottingham

Two new serviced apartment developments are set to launch in Nottingham in the coming months.

Offering the ‘perfect alternative to a traditional hotel stay’, the apartments are situated in prime city centre locations and promise to be the most cutting-edge and luxurious flexible stay living on offer in Nottingham.

The new state-of-the-art city living apartments in the heart of the Lace Market and at the top of Alfreton Road, are the debut schemes of development company, Cosybox Living.  The team behind the new brand is made up of property entrepreneur Dominic Rice, interior designer Sandra Rice and Nigel Rhodes of DL Rhodes & Son who is responsible for construction.

Dominic said: “We’re delighted to be launching our first Cosybox Living serviced apartment developments in Nottingham – a city chock-a-block with exciting new projects taking shape, from the Broadmarsh redevelopment to the new college to riverside living.

“Everywhere you look in Nottingham you can see investment and redesign, which is why we were attracted to the two sites we’ve selected. Both are in prime locations to entice a diverse range of visitors to the city without the formality of a hotel stay.”

Heritage Mews, 12 boutique apartments situated on High Pavement next to Pitcher & Piano, is a brief walk from Nottingham Railway station and right in the heart of the city’s bustling food and drink scene with the vibrant nightlife of Hockley and the sophisticated dining options of the Lace Market just around the corner.

Alfreton Road will offer 35 one-bedroom apartments over two floors with a retail unit occupying the ground floor at street level. It’s just a two-minute walk from the Market Square, a five minute drive from the QMC and on the doorstep of Nottingham Trent University. The site was primed for redevelopment having lain empty for more than 20 years.

Nigel added: “The serviced apartment sector is growing at a faster pace than that of traditional hotels as corporate and leisure travellers demand more space and flexibility in their accommodation options.  Our apartments are all about feeling home away from home, with all the personal touches you’d expect from a high-end luxury apartment.

“Our timeline is rapidly nearing completion for both projects and we’re very excited to start welcoming our first guests to Heritage Mews later this year. We’re expecting a real variety of visitors, from tourists and business people, to parents visiting their children at university, to overseas lecturers and doctors looking for a stylish and comfortable base for their stay. Our apartments will put Nottingham on the map for 21st century flexible living in a fast-paced, competitive and vibrant property market.”
