Stores have now completed their move to Highfields Fire Station and their new space was officially opened by Chief Fire Officer Craig Parkin.
The team had previously been located at our Bestwood Lodge headquarters before its closure and our move to the Joint Headquarters site alongside Nottinghamshire Police.
The new layout has been planned by the Procurement and Stores team themselves, which means the layout works more effectively for them and how they work.
The 6-metre-high ceiling gives the space plenty of natural light and a chance for expansion if needed in the future.
Accessibility has been considered throughout with lift access to the higher floor and new changing rooms to allow people to try on different items when they visit.
Richard Henshaw, Procurement Manager, said: “I want to say a massive thank you to all the team in Procurement/Stores for all their efforts in making the move a success.
“Everyone worked long days and pulled together as a team. There were challenges along the way which all adapted to in a professional way, and they have delivered us a fantastic space.”
