“A man was left wounded and a woman was left shaken after their encounters, and we are committed to doing everything we can to understand the circumstances around the incident and bring those responsible to justice.

“This includes CCTV as well as door-to-door enquiries, and officers will be in the area and able to engage with residents and offer reassurance.

“We do, however, believe that those suspected of being involved are in some way known to each other and we are continuing to investigate and consider a number of lines of enquiry during these early stages of the investigation.

“We would ask anyone who witnessed this, or anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage which could help us with our enquiries, to get in touch with us on 101 quoting incident 607 of 10  January 2021.”
