Rushcliffe Operation Sceptre finds no knives in searches so far this week

Nottinghamshire Police Rushcliffe South beat team carried out knife searches across the borough under Operation Sceptre this week.

Operation Sceptre is a national police campaign to tackle knife crime.

Police said:

‘Whilst the vast majority of people don’t carry knives or get involved in knife crime, we are working hard, with partner agencies to tackle the knife crime offences that occur and to help prevent them from happening in the first place.’

‘Officers from the Rushcliffe South beat team undertook a proactive knife sweep, searching for knives in various parks and other relevant locations on Friday and Saturday 30 April and 1 May.
