Nottingham 2023 launches street market stall tour

With less than a month to go before Nottingham places its bid to be European Capital of Culture 2023, the bid team are calling for your ideas and opinions during a tour of some of Nottingham’s busiest markets.

Throughout October the bid team will be hosting a special 2023 market stall where you can find out more about what Nottingham 2023 would mean for the city, as well as submit your ideas and express your support by backing the bid or becoming a ‘Cultural Lion’.

 

Dates and locations include:

 

Tuesday 10 October – Bulwell Market

Thursday 12 October – Clinton Street Market

Friday 13 October – Clifton Market

Saturday 14 October – Victoria Centre Market

 

Paul Russ, chair of the Nottingham 2023 bid board said: “We want as many people as possible to ask questions, find out more about the bid process and be involved in our submission, which is due on 27 October.

 

“At the stalls we’ll have members of the bid team and volunteers from our growing pool of ‘Cultural Lions’ on hand to answer questions you might have about the Nottingham 2023 bid, and discuss with you the difference it will make to local communities, businesses and the economy.

“You’ll also have the opportunity to share with us your favourite Nottingham cultural moments and help us shape our submission by telling us what you would like to see in 2023 and what culture in Nottingham means to you.
