Police confirm that the road accident on Upper Parliament street was a ‘serious collision involving a man and a bus.’
A man has been taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area while the road is cleared.
The incident happened at around 2 pm on Wednesday 18th September in Upper Parliament St in Nottingham City Centre.
A Nottingham City Transport Green 11 City Loop route bus can be seen inside the cordoned area.
‘Upper Parliament Street has been closed in both directions following the incident.
A man has been taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
An air ambulance attempted to land in The Old Market Square in connection with the incident but was redirected to Forest Recreation Ground.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area while officers conduct their investigation and clear the road.’
