The golden sands are back in the heart of Nottingham as the city’s Nottingham Beach officially opened ahead of its first weekend, transforming Old Market Square into a vibrant seaside escape.
Under blue skies and the buzz of excited visitors, this year’s beach features all the family favourites — including the ever-popular paddling pool, real sand, and an exciting mix of funfair rides, games, and live entertainment. The 2025 edition brings a fresh twist too, with the return of the Beach Bar, now themed around the stunning shores of Santorini.
Complete with stylish seating, palm trees, and Mediterranean vibes, the Santorini Bar is already proving a hit on day one. Visitors can enjoy ice-cold Beavertown beer, crisp wines, and a refreshing range of fruity cocktails, perfect for soaking up the sunshine.
Rides, Games & Attractions
This year’s line-up includes a variety of family-friendly and adrenaline-pumping rides such as the Starflyer, Giant Slide, Blackbeard’s Bumper Boats, and the delightfully quirky Yeti Summer Vacation. Fairground classics like Hook a Duck, Samba Balloon, and Bungee Trampolines are also back, with each ride available on a pay-per-ride basis.
