Nottingham Bowl to reopen with city’s first smart darts game

Nottingham Bowl is the UK’s largest bowling centre boasting 48 lanes across two floors.

It was refurbished at a cost of £750k in November 2019 featuring state of the art “string pin lanes”, shabby chic bar, DJ hosts, Namco arcade, pizza menu and far improved drinks offer.

The venue is fully air conditioned ready for the summer and we have new lines of Walls Ice Cream, Slush and Milkshakes to get ready for the months ahead plus we’re also introducing the hugely popular Tango Ice Blast.

For the May reopening the company has refurbished the toilets in the venue, improved the décor lighting and sound and installed two lanes of smart darts – the first in Nottingham, where groups can get together and enjoy some competitive socialising with 8 great darts based games to play using our new concept Disco Darts. Lanes are available by the hour and may be booked at .

Pete Terry, MD of the company said:

“We as a company have always loved this city and we can’t wait to welcome back our diverse range of customers from kids using our elephant ball ramps, teenagers, students and adults, bowling really is great fun for everyone. With 48 lanes we always have room for you and we have invested in making the centre even better whilst we have been closed. “

“ The first lockdown saw us closed for 5 months, and this time the centre hasn’t traded since October. That’s 11 months of closure with all the bills still to pay. We are however delighted that we have been able to retain all our staff and now we look forward to a great summer of fun and bowling.”

Commenting on the reopening, General Manager Melanie Weaver said

“The team and I can’t wait to get the doors open again and provide some safe family fun to all our customers. Our new focus is lane service this will mean people can enjoy bowling and have everything brought to them with just a few clicks of our app, which you can download from App Store or Google Play.. We have recruited a further 5 members of staff before opening in order to make sure we can look after all our customers”

“ With the first smart darts system in the city we are hoping to introduce our customers to competitive socialising with this and other exciting facilities we have planned. Bookings are already flooding in.”
