A Nottingham City Transport driver stopped to rescue a kitten found in the middle of Western Boulevard earlier today.
The kitten was spotted near Beechdale Road, along the operator’s Service 55 route. The driver carefully brought it onto the bus to get it out of danger.
An NCT inspector then took the kitten to a vet, where it is receiving care.
The operator said the kitten appeared to be in poor condition and may have sustained injuries.
NCT is appealing for anyone who recognises the kitten, or has information that could help identify its owner, to contact the company by private message.
