Nottingham city Covid rate almost 70% higher than England average – see your area

Figures released today show the extent of the virus in Nottingham city.

Figures released by a joint data unit at Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottingham City County show Nottingham city has the highest Covid-19 figures in Nottinghamshire, that is the rate per 100,000 resident population.

Data up to and including 25 June shows that the city has seen 774 cases in last seven days and has a rate per 100,000 residents of 232.5 cases. 1,185 cases have been recorded over the last fourteen days.

The England case per 100,000 people figure at 24 June is 138.4

The age of cases though shows that since 1 May 2021 93% of cases are in the under 50s, with 70%+ of cases in age under 30s.

Rushcliffe’s rate is still high and second highest among local authorities in Nottinghamshire.

Nottingham average rate per 100,000 over seven days 232.5 –  cases in seven days 774

Rushcliffe 189.6 rate 226 cases

Newark 62.9 rate 77 cases

Mansfield 60.4 rate 66 cases

Gedling 150.1 rate 177 cases

Broxtowe 129.8 rate 148 cases

Bassetlaw 86.8 rate 102 cases

Ashfield 97.7 rate 125 cases
