Summary of how Nottingham City Transport bus services are operating during the Christmas and New Year period.
Regular Services
Full timetables for the Christmas and New Year period will be uploaded by the end of November.
- Normal timetables up to and including Monday 23rd December.
- Christmas Eve, Tuesday 24th December – Saturday timetable until approx. 20:00, except on Navy 49 which will operate to Monday to Friday times until approx. 20:00. See last bus times below.
- Christmas Day, Wednesday 25th December – Sorry, no service.
- Boxing Day, Thursday 26th December – Sorry, no service.
- Friday 27th December – Saturday timetables, except on Navy 49 which will operate to Monday to Friday times.
- Saturday 28th December – Normal Saturday timetables.
- Sunday 29th December – Normal Sunday timetables.
- Monday 30th December – Saturday timetables, except on Navy 49 which will operate to Monday to Friday times.
- New Year’s Eve, Tuesday 31st December – Saturday timetable until approx. 20:00, except on Navy 49 which will operate to Monday to Friday times until approx. 20:00. See last bus times below.
- New Year’s Day, Wednesday 1st January 2025 – Sorry, no service.
- Thursday 2nd January 2025 – Saturday timetables, except on Navy 49 which will operate to Monday to Friday times.
- Friday 3rd January 2025 – Saturday timetables, except on Navy 49 which will operate to Monday to Friday times.
- Saturday 4th January 2025 – Normal timetables resume.
NightBus Services – N4, N26 and N34
- No NightBuses will operate on New Year’s Eve
- N4, N26 and N34 will operate as normal up to and including the night of Saturday 21st December 2024 into the morning of Sunday 22nd December 2024. They will then resume on the night of Saturday 4th January 2025 into the morning of Sunday 5th January 2025.
University Services
- Navy 4 will operate as normal up to and including Friday 13th December 2024. The service then returns from Monday 13th January 2025 for the Spring term.
- Pink 29 will operate as normal up to and including Saturday 14th December 2024. The service then returns from Monday 13th January 2025 for the Spring term.
- Orange 34, 34C will operate as normal up to and including Saturday 14th December 2024. The service will then run on weekdays only (except 24th, 27th, 30th, 31st December and 2nd, 3rd January when there is no service) until the Spring term starts on Sunday 12th January 2025, when the term time service recommences.
Travel Centre and Call Centre
You are strongly advised to manage your Easyrider top ups taking into account our opening hours and the level of service we are running. Online and telephone top ups take up to 3 working days and are not processed when the Travel Centre is closed.
If you need travel adding to your card for between Christmas and New Year, please top up by 14:00 on Monday 23rd December. If you need travel adding to your card for Thursday 2nd January, please top up by 14:00 on Tueday 31st December.

Last Bus Times on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve
A Saturday timetable will operate on all routes on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve (except Navy 49 which will run to normal weekday times) with last buses by approx. 20:00. No NightBuses will operate on New Year’s Eve.
