Nottingham CityCare announces new Director of Nursing

Nottingham CityCare Partnership, the biggest provider of community health services in Nottingham, has appointed Judith Douglas as Director of Nursing, Allied Health Professionals and Quality.

Judith qualified as a nurse in 1988, She has a background in oncology and palliative care and has worked at senior levels across the NHS in a range of settings including in hospitals, community and mental health as well as the ambulance service. She initially joined Nottingham CityCare in November 2023 on an interim basis.

Lou Bainbridge, Chief Executive, said: “Judith is well known and respected in the NHS and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience which will be invaluable to us.

“She is a great addition to the Nottingham CityCare’s leadership team and will play a pivotal role as we continue on our journey to provide effective and efficient NHS services to the communities we serve, supporting our vision to deliver high-quality locally led care.”

As Director of Nursing, Allied Health Professionals and Quality, Judith said: “I am absolutely delighted to continue in my role at Nottingham CityCare at such an important time. I am really looking forward to continuing work with colleagues across the organisation to deliver the best care for people using our services.

We must ensure our services are easily accessible to patients and families in all the communities we serve. By working with the people we care for, we will deliver an effective, efficient and compassionate service.”
