Nottingham University Hospitals announced the news today.
Dr Keith Girling, Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals said: “Sadly we can confirm that a further seven patients have died having tested positive for COVID-19.
“Regrettably, that means that 169 COVID-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.”
“The patients were aged between 72 and 98, and died between the 21st of March and 21st of April.”
“The families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
