Nottingham Fire: No reported injuries in the incident

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirm there are no reported injuries.

Damien West for NFRS said: ‘There are no reported casualties, we are working as quickly as we can to prevent further spread of the fire. ‘Anyone in the area should keep windows and doors closed, and we ask people to avoid the area.’

The fire is at an electrical recycling plant in the Lenton / Dunkirk area of Nottingham.

15 crews from Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire are fighting the blaze along with partners from Nottinghamshire Police, EMAS and Network Rail.

Smoke could be seen from all over Nottinghamshire as the fire took hold at around 5 pm on Thursday 6 May 2021.
