Your Favourite Teacher is the brainchild of Kate Meeks, a former English teacher.  A finalist at this year’s BETT event, it provides high quality online learning for students, together with rigorous monitoring and tracking in order to ensure students can achieve their full potential.

By using the platform, the young football players will have the opportunity to learn at home and have their progress monitored.

Chris Caunt, Nottingham Forest’s Head of Education and Welfare, said:

“We are delighted to be working with Your Favourite Teacher. Education is paramount and it is vital that our academy players have the core skills such as GCSE maths and English. Working with Your Favourite Teacher will enable us to offer our players a bespoke, successfully proven resource which they can access at any time of the day from anywhere.”

He added: “Nottingham Forest is committed to ensuring academy players develop as individuals, both on and off the pitch, and this partnership with Your Favourite Teacher will enable us to achieve this.”

Kate Meeks, Founder of Your Favourite Teacher, said: “Working with Nottingham Forest is an exciting step for us.  Our platform is being used successfully in schools across the UK and it is great to now see it in practice in the Academy at Nottingham Forest.  Our platform has been built to enable students to have access to excellent teaching no matter their circumstances.  I am sure the partnership will lead to enhanced academic results for those in the Nottingham Forest Football Academy.”
