Nottingham funeral directors triumph at Good Funeral Awards

A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service was delighted to be nominated alongside two of its staff for ‘Best Traditional Funeral Director’ at the national awards.

At the ceremony in London yesterday, the firm was announced as winners, with special mentions to the individual nominees – Louise Cook and Dominic Lister.


CEO Nigel Lymn Rose who attended the awards in London comments ‘I am delighted for the whole company and particularly Louise and Dominic. It is a real honor that the hard work of my family and all the staff we employ has been recognised on a national level. We firmly believe that ‘it will do’ will not do and is not enough, we should go the extra mile, and hope that this shows in the service we provide’.

It is 110 years since Nigel’s great grandfather, Arthur William Lymn conducted his first funeral and the firm began trading at undertakers. The company is run on a day to day basis by the fifth generation, Matthew, Chloe and Ben but still overseen daily by the fourth generation being Nigel and his sister Jackie and indeed the third generation George and Sheila keep a watching brief.
