Nottingham Kayak Club

Nottingham Kayak Club takes part in a wide range of canoeing and kayaking. This includes recreational paddlers, flat-water marathon racing, sprint racing and wild water racing. The club paddlers compete in a wide range of events locally, nationally and internationally.

The club formed in the 1960s, and now has approximately 170 members and an increasing proportion of families. Around 80 members compete locally, with around 60 also competing at national level. 2015 sees the 50th anniversary of the club’s formation.

The club trains from the clubhouse on Trentside North and runs a number of local and regional events including their annual Hasler race, the Trent K2, a Winter Race series and a summer 4-person kayak series.

Nottingham Kayak Club will be holding a 50th Anniversary Celebration Party on 13th June! Open to all past and present members and their guests, come and help us celebrate 50 years of paddling at Nottingham Kayak Club. The clubhouse will be open all day from 9.30am onwards, with tea, cake, fizz and a BBQ planned for 2pm. Drop in anytime or all day to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary.
