Nottingham man charged with multiple firearm and drug offences

He was also charged with possession of three firearms, possession of a taser and possession of criminal property.

A 30-year-old has been charged with multiple drug offences following his arrest on Friday.

He has been charged with three counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine, heroin and MDMA) and one count of possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis).

He was also charged with possession of three firearms, possession of a taser and possession of criminal property.

The charges relate to an incident where a house was searched and a man was arrested in Beckhampton Road in Bestwood on 1am Friday 23 October.

Detective Sergeant Nigel Malik, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are pleased to have recovered drugs and weapons as part of our enquiries.

“Drug and violent crime is totally unacceptable and we will always investigate reports thoroughly.

“Firearms offences are among the most serious and we are working to establish if the three potential guns recovered from the scene are viable.”

Kieran Nichols, 30, of Beckhampton Road is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning.
