A man has been jailed for 12 years after a number of robbery offences in Nottingham earlier this year.
The incidents happened at Saturday 19 January 2019 between 8-10.40pm at Ilkeston Road and Radford Boulevard.
Daniel Barker, 32, of Forster Street, Radford, was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court today (Tuesday 14 May 2019) having pleaded guilty to four counts of robbery, an assault with intent to commit robbery and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
Barker targeted five people in under three hours, changing his clothes to appear different on the CCTV, threatening them with a bladed article in the process and stealing from their wallets, stealing their phones and robbing them at cash-points.
Detective Inspector Ed Cook said: “These were shocking attacks in a short space of time and although no one was seriously injured, these horrific incidents have still impacted on the victims of the crimes.
“I hope the sentence given today brings some sort of comfort to all the victims and they can be reassured that this violent offender is off our streets.”
