Thumbs up all around at Sneinton following Outstanding OFSTED rating

Head teacher Mark Lowe proudly explains: “We are delighted that the Ofsted report celebrates our school community as ‘thriving’ and recognises the person-centred ethos of our school. It cannot be understated what an achievement this recognition is for our school community. The benchmark for an outstanding grading is the highest it has ever been. To have retained the judgement from our previous inspection in 2011 is an incredible achievement.

“We cherish the strong relationships within our community and the ambition that our staff, families, governors and Trust have for our whole school community and are really pleased that this was noted by the inspectors. We are so proud of our children. They have been recognised for their ‘exceptionally’ strong voices and making a ‘significant’ contribution to the life of school. We are also incredibly thankful to all parents and carers who shared their views on the Ofsted survey and spoke with inspectors.

This report celebrates an ambition and pursuit of excellence for all, which has been years in the making, and we would like to recognise the wide-ranging partnerships that have helped to grow and nurture this community. We would like to give special thanks to Kelly Lee, former Executive Headteacher and now Partnership Director for Transform Trust, for her compassionate and dedicated leadership of the school over many years.”

Transform Trust CEO Rebecca Meredith adds: “I can only reiterate Mark’s delight and pride in this outcome. I would like to thank Mark, Kelly Lee, and their team for their unwavering devotion and commitment. The children are a sheer joy to visit and the whole school community is always so warm and welcoming. We are over the moon that they have received such praise in both the SIAMS and Ofsted reports and these are both testament to the wonderful academic and holistic earning that is happening at this school every day.“
