Nottingham Rugby are pleased to announce that they will be facing Ampthill RUFC in a pre-season friendly at The Bay, on Saturday 26th August 2017.
In what will be the Green and Whites’ final warm-up fixture before the opening round of the 2017/18 Greene King IPA Championship the following weekend, they have selected tough opposition in the shape of the Bedfordshire-based side, who finished third in last season’s National League One standings, amassing an impressive 108 points from 30 games.
The first ever meeting between these two sides looks set be an entertaining and action-packed lead-in to the new season, and will be the first friendly match to be held at The Bay since Nottingham’s record breaking fixture against Tonga, back in 2015.
All 2017/18 adult, concession, student and junior season ticket holders will gain free entry to the match, on production of their season cards, whilst all individual, advance and on the day ticket prices will be announced in due course.
2017/18 Season Tickets remain on sale throughout the summer, with juniors qualifying for a free season ticket and adult prices averaging at less than £11.00 per game. Please click here for more information, or call the club office on 0115 907 0070.
The kick-off time for the fixture has yet to be confirmed, as the club awaits the announcement of local football fixtures, which are due later this month. Please keep your eye on the club website and social media for all the latest updates, including tomorrow morning’s (Friday’s) 2017/18 Greene King IPA Championship and British & Irish Cup fixture schedules announcement.
