Police seized suspected cocaine, cannabis, a large stash of prescription drugs and illegal tobacco when they raided a Nottingham shisha bar.
Officers joined forces with Trading Standards to execute a warrant at Bla Bla Nights Café Lounge, in Manvers Street, Sneinton, on Tuesday (12 December).
Information from the community and partner agencies suggested drug-related activity was taking place at the address.
When officers entered the bar, at around 6.30pm, a suspect fled from the venue but was detained in a nearby alleyway.
He was searched and found to be carrying wraps of suspected cocaine, cash, multiple mobile phones and weighing scales.
Officers from the city south Operation Reacher team and Sneinton and St Ann’s neighbourhood policing teams then carried out a search of the property.
They discovered a large amount of cannabis resin in a carrier bag in the basement, as well as illegal vapes and tobacco.
A variety of prescription drugs, a sword and a large amount of cash were also found.
Officers carried out a simultaneous raid on a home in Newark Crescent, Sneinton, where they seized further equipment associated with drug dealing and high-value jewellery.
Two men, aged 37 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs and remain in police custody.

“We are really grateful to members of the public and our partners for providing vital information which has led to us taking this positive action.
“When provided with information like this we always listen and take appropriate steps to keep our communities safe.
“These raids have allowed us to seize a large amount of Class A and Class B drugs, as well as prescription drugs we suspect were intended for onward supply. These are now all out of circulation and will be destroyed.
“We worked closely with Trading Standards officers to organise and carry out these raids so I would like to thank them for their cooperation and expertise.
“This was a great result but our investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
