Nottinghamshire Police has released an image of a car, similar to the pictured, which they believe was involved in a shooting in Bilborough.
A 22-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound while in a vehicle in Brindley Road at around 8.50pm on Thursday 9 May 2019. The victim was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre and has since been discharged.
Two men, aged 21 and 24, were arrested in connection with the incident and have since been released on bail.
Detectives are now appealing for anyone who saw a five-door grey Volkswagen Polo around the time of the incident to get in touch.
Detective Inspector Ed Cook, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are continuing to work through lots of information as we continue to build a comprehensive picture of the circumstances of this incident.
“We believe a car, similar to that pictured, was involved in the incident. We’re appealing for anyone who saw it in the area around the time to call us as they may have information which is vital to our investigation.
“We’d like to reassure local residents that we are doing everything we can to trace those responsible.”We’d like to thank all those who have already come forward with information but we still want to hear from anyone who hasn’t yet come forward.
“Did you see this car? Did you drive past the area at the time and haven’t yet checked you dashcam footage? It could have vital information about who was in the area at the time, even if it didn’t capture the incident itself.
“I’d urge anyone with any information to please get in touch on 101, quoting incident number 837 of 9 May 2019. If you’d rather report it anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
