Nottingham stabbing: Police increase patrols as victim reported to have life-threatening injuries

Police have increased patrols to reassure the public as detectives continue to investigate a stabbing in Nottingham city centre.

Officers were called to High Street shortly after 4:00 am today (Sunday, 17 November) after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest.

He was taken to hospital with injuries that are currently believed to be life-threatening. His condition is now described as stable.

A cordon was put in place while evidence was gathered, affecting trams in the area. The cordon has since been lifted, and tram services have resumed.
