Chairman of Nottingham St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade said:

‘County Wicklow are leading the Parade this year with Liam Fitzgerald leading the Parade as Chief Marshall. A warm welcome to all our visitors from County Wicklow and the Irish Embassy.

At 11.30am The Parade assembles at Thurland Street/Pelham Street led by the Chief Marshall Liam Fitzgerald as County Wicklow leads the Parade.

Events include:

Mass of Celebration of St Patrick – Celebrant Fr Joe Wheat, Sermon Fr. John Martin.

The Parade Assembles at Thurland Street/Pelham Street led by the Lead County Wicklow.

Individual groups assemble and march down to the Market square to be greeted by the crowds. Chief Marshall Liam Fitzgerald and family represent County Wicklow and lead the parade.

We also welcome 2 civic guests from County Wicklow – Cllr Vincent Blake, Chair of the Baltinglass Municipal District Council, and Lorrainne Gallagher Senior Executive Officer of County Wicklow Enterprise and Corporate Services.

Local schools, Irish groups and other memebers of the Irish community will be also be marching – give them a wave as they go past!

STATIC STREET DISPLAY – Market Stalls on Long Row, outside Nottingham Information Bureau. Hats, Scarves, Shamrock, Irish Foods ect available. Irish Stew will be sold on the Market Square.
