Roads and motorways
M1, A1, A46 and A52
No major new collision or emergency closure affecting Nottinghamshire’s strategic road network has been independently confirmed in the information available at 06:05.
The principal verified restrictions are planned roadworks, particularly on the A52 around Wheatcroft and on several routes into Nottingham.
Motorists can check National Highways live traffic information and Nottingham Travelwise for developing incidents.

The closure is required for utility diversion works ahead of the reconstruction of Wheatcroft and Nottingham Knight junctions.
The current programme includes lane restrictions and a temporary 40mph speed limit around Wheatcroft.
Utility diversion work began on 7 September and is expected to continue for approximately three months.
The wider junction improvement programme is expected to continue until spring 2029.
The closure is particularly relevant to motorists travelling between Bingham, the A46, Gamston, West Bridgford and Nottingham.
National Highways has published a diversion map and warns that planned closures can change at short notice.
