Passengers holding NET tram tickets will need to pay the normal bus fare on NCT services. NCT and Robin Hood pre-paid tickets remain valid.
For Goose Fair, NCT’s Brown, Lime, Yellow and Purple Line buses run from Parliament Street and Milton Street in the city centre to Mansfield Road at Forest Gate.
Visitors can also read our Goose Fair travel guide covering buses, parking and walking routes during the tram strike.
Tomorrow’s journeys will face further disruption because of the Robin Hood Half Marathon, with diversions and some morning service suspensions affecting NCT’s Navy, Green, Pink and Orange Lines.
Passengers should check the bus service changes for Sunday 27 September before setting out. NCT has warned of increased demand and additional traffic during the weekend.
The tram dispute follows pay negotiations between NET and GMB which began in January. NET says its offer included a 3.3% pay increase, rising to 7% for the lowest-paid roles, alongside improvements for night workers. GMB was seeking a 4.1% increase.
