Updated – Nottingham trams: No tram service across whole network due to technical fault

NET has announced a fault which prevents any trams operating this morning Wednesday 23 August.

Updated: ‘Trams are now running but with delays. Our engineering team is continuing to work hard to fix the overhead lines, but the situation remains the same with no service between the University of Nottingham and Cator Lane and this will likely be the case throughout Wednesday. NCT Orange Line buses are accepting our tickets and passes. EMR Trains are also accepting our tickets and passes between Beeston and Nottingham Station.’

NET said at 5:56 am on Wednesday 23 August:

‘Apologies due to a technical issue we have no Tram service.

‘All Nottingham City Transport buses are accepting our tickets and passes.’

The network has been beset with issues for days after an overhead line pole was damaged by a car on Monday this week, and on 17 August no trams operated for the entire day because of a communications system fault.
